Motor acting up

I got a 300 fourtrax honda. when I start it up it runs fine.
but when it heats up it loses power and will bog and barely pull itself around. atvriders.com please help!

Any mods? Have you checked the jetting? Air filter?

its porbly the stator thats what happend to one of are quads

maybe its over heating, or do a compression check on it too.

maybe its running lean,with the choke on it runs richer,when you take it off it falls on its face.

Yea probably jetting is the problem.

Check the CDI

Check the gas tank vent hose. If you shut the bike off and it runs fine after the thing sits a few minutes, it could be it. Try riding it and when it starts to sputter, loosen the gas cap. If it picks right up and runs better, check the vents.

It sounds like you are running lean because of the exhaust being "modded" I would either rejet or put another stock pipe. You are most likely losing power from your "redneck" mod anyhow.

Yes you need richer jetting. I'm assuming you're still stock jetting.

Thanks Yall, But the wheel bearing went out of it a couple of days ago, so i parked it and now i'm riding my granddads 250 fourtrax.
