I was taking my stock head pipe off to grind out the welds when I ran into a snag. Which is after I took the silencer off I could not see a way to take the stock head pipe out & cashed it in for the evening. Anyone have any good tips???

Thanks ~ Hawk

Everything is disconnected, just don't see how I can get it untangled from behind the head & take it completely out so I can proceed to grind the welds.

make sure the two bolts are off by the block where the gasket connects with the header.

Dunno about Ya'll but I had to drop the oil tank to remove the header completely from the quad. Got all the bolts out & then didn't see any feasible way that it was coming out w/out dropping the tank. There just wasn't any room.

Then I was disappointed to see that there really wasn't that much weld inside the header; I don't see how this could have an impact, but since I already have it apart & bought the new gaskets I'm going to do grind what's in there down & polish it up.
