What in the world are you talking about? Toyota?

When was the last time you tried hauling a 30ft Toy Hauler with a Toyota?

didnt know we where talking about towing capacity.. altho i can tow my 26 ft offshore boat with my tundra and that weighs alot more than 30 ft trailor with quads in it.. but i mean if u wanna get tow to what can carry a huge load then the dodges, chevy, and fords heavy duty stuff wins that, but supposedly toyota in comin out with some diesel truck in 07 so maybe then they can compete in that market

Depends which model you want to compare . You want to compare a 2500 Duramax with an F-250 ... or do you want to compare a Ranger with a Colorado .

If you want to give me either the Duramax or the F-250 I'll take it ... Both have good power and nice styling .

If you want to give me either the Ranger or the Colorado , I'll choose a bus pass !!! ;)

I've always been a Dodge fan ... but the new front end styling in the past couple years has really turned me away from them .

I agree Toyota's are the best trucks out there and I hear they are coming out with a deisel you can put three times as many miles on a toyota than on a chevy or ford

My brother has a limited toyoata with flowmasters on it and I think it sounds way better than chevys or fords

anyways some that is reall amazing is the v-6's that nissan and toyota are coming out with

Nissan's v-6 I mean we are talking 265 horses

both of these companies have amazing trucks

but out of the 2 you posted I would have to pick chevy

Bowtie all the way.

Toyota's are nice trucks but their towing capacity isn't even comparable to the full-size's from the Big 3. One of my best friend's has a Tacoma and it's a very nice truck but when he was pulling his tandem axle horse trailer with his two horses in it that thing became a dog. Sure, it pulled it but merging with traffic on a highway took about 2 miles and your highway gas mileage tanked. They kept the Tacoma as a daily driver and went out and bought a new Silverado to pull the horses are ten times happier.

you can't compare a tacoma with a silverado.
the tacoma vs colorado or s10 the taco wins hands down
I had a zr2 sonoma pos I now have a taco that rocks it is by far the best 4x4 mini or mid size truck out there.
Now that said If I needed it for hauling, super duty ford all the way.

2) Chev. 1500 not far behind f-150 in my book
3) My feet
3/4-1 ton
1) Ford Superduty w/ Powerstoke
2) Dodge w/ Cummins, gotta love Cummins May not be the highest output, but rock solid
3) If you paid me a Chev with a Duramax might be here, good power, but meh not a big fan

No Japanese truck will touch my truck list, they dont compare for most people, I have a dvd that compares 1/2 tons and some of their components are scary, I'd rather drive a golf cart.

its funny how this dvd said jap truck components are so much cheaper in comparison than american trucks.. cause all i know is all the toyotas my family owned goto 250,000 miles w/o anything more than a water pump goin out once outta 3 trucks... not to mention the smaller things such as electrical components thats always went out on the chevy we owned and then the cheap feel of some of the interior things iv seen and felt in fords and chevys.. not saying toyota is the God of trucks because they are not.. but if some biased dvd is the basis for the choise of something then whoever falls for it is stupid

I have always been a Chevy guy, owning several Silverado's, you can't beat the good old 350. If I'm not mistaken why do you see all the racers sticking chevy motors in their cars, and not fords??? HUH??? Because they are EXCELLENT motors that pruduce great HP and Torque and doing it cheap with parts available everywhere !!! Though maybe because the only good gas motor Ford made was the inline 6 300 motor. I like Fords diesal motors but they F**ked it all up after 97 with the new front end not being able to fit the straight 6 motor in their trucks. The 5.4 motor SUCKS, I can't even name how many I have seen with head gaskets leaking after only 40-50k miles!!!!!

I would say Toyota is probably on top of the game with the Tundra though, they are very nice!! Toyotas have the quality all around with not only a good motor like Chevy but have better components all around. I used to have an old Yota truck that ran to 400K miles, I honestly don't know of a domestic truck that would run that long without the body falling apart around the motor!!!! Our Tundra pulls our 23' Velocity Race boat with NO PROBLEMS!!!! So my vote goes for CHEVY AND TOYOTA!!!!!

word, and there is a reason chevy trucks are struggling and on the verge of going out of business and ford sells more trucks than dodge, chevy, and the other brands combined , however like he said the chevy 350 and chevy motors are what you want for HP and performance

Toyota does run forever. Every body i know that has one; has over 250,000 miles on it and the truck still runs strong. But I still believe that Chevy is the best truck you can buy. We have owned all of them and the Chevys always lived longer, had more power, cheaper parts, and was a lot smoother riding. Go Chevy!

Ford came in with 1.46 million. There's no doubt GM is in trouble right now but so is Ford. Have you been following domestic car manufacturers?

if you guys are talkin about an all out work horse then the ford is the way to go. last october we drove 3 fords and a dodge down to mississippi to help with the hurricane. all the trucks had dual axle trailers with about 8000 pounds of water plus the trailer weight and the beds full of cargo. we were racin down the highway and the 6.0 diesels smoked the 5.4 and the cummins. we had the needles pinned too. that was really fun though. if you want an offroad truck then i will be happy to challenge anybody in my 93 toyota land cruiser. its a tank that climbs up walls and anybody that has had one or ridden in one knows it. so im gonna have to say ford for the job and toyota for the fun.

Again, however for a diesel, I'd buy a duramax over the 6.0

It just isn't as reliable as the 7.3 it replaced, and isn't that why you bought a diesel in the first place, other then heavy towing capability:confused:

I own both a F-250 super duty and a 2005 Toyota Tacoma V6.

The F-250 is a good solid truck that I use to pull a 5,000 lb trailer with on a daily bases. The only problems I've had with it in 67,000 miles is 2 COP have gone out.

The new Tacoma is an awsome truck that will do 0-60 in under 7 sec. The Nisson Frontier has more hp but less power to wieght ratio. The Tacoma also will pull my trailer like it's not even there.

personally, i didnt like earnhardt, and i still dont like stewart or gordon. i think stewart still has some room to mature, although he has calmed down some in the past years. ok, i quit, you can keep worrying about why you THINK chevy is better than ford. the ford guys are just gonna stay out front. and please, if anyone says the bull**** about a ford being an "f'ed over rebuilt dodge", please look and see which company was going out of business (dodge) and which company gave them money and even parts, (ford) to keep them in business.

it doesnt matter about personality and how they act, sure stewart is an @sshole, i dont really like him either, but hes one of the best in the sport.. oo and Chevy always has more wins than Ford and Dodge in the nascar season..
