My 450r is all aftermarket once you buy the parts they pretty much hold there value and when you get a new quad what doesnt fit you can sell for a good price. I always buy used stuff for almost half off and i take care of all my stuff and can usually sell stuff for how much i bought it for.

I work at a atv dealership, and i buy quads from them that they dont want to bother to sell and ill sellem on ebay or buy damaged aftermarket quads and part them out. I started off on here making air scoops for the 400ex, kfx, ect... for $40

I am 16 and have a part time job. takes a while to save up but I get there. I have about 5,500 into my 400ex.

If you want some good money fast, that is honest work. start pooring concrete. It will give you a beating and a half. but I do it in the summer. work from between 5and7am till 5to7pm. makes good money fast.

8 years of braking crap and having to replace it after I break it.. lol. I just pay an extra few bucks for the better aftermarket parts rather than wasting my time on the replacing stock. ;)

My little 330 has pretty much peaked though. Saving up for one of the 3 450's (probably the LT 2nd year.)

If you shop around you can find great deals on used parts. You'r gonna beat them up anyway, may as well get used in good condition.

That and I'm 30, have a crap load of bills, and work a Full time Job, and a Part time job in the evenings on weekdays to support my ATV addiction, lol.

its called get a job, im only 17 and i pay for my quad, my aftermarket parts, and gas for my car. just find as many odd jobs to make money. right now a good job to find is selling x-mas trees, u can make mad money doing that.

ebay is good for 400ex parts I know that. not so much used 450 parts tho. I got a lrd full system for 200$ off ebay for my 400ex.

i work at a local farm to support the addiction. good part its my friends dads farm so we talk alot. i dont make as much per hr as alot of my freinds but its gravy work and i get lots more hrs than any one else.

i dont think theres a bad thing with parents payin for kids stuff at least it keeps them out of trouble. i know it has worked with me. get sponsored and that really helps u out. that has also worked with me

i paid for my quad and put alot of money into it and also busted my @ss in the summer building houses for 5:50 a hour and 40+ hour a week in 95+ dreg temps. i hate when people say that everything i want i ussaly buy myself

PART time job for a 16 year old would make about 5,500 in a YEAR. unles your getting paid like 15 bucks/hr

Thats the thing most of the kids. Im 14 and work my *** off all summer because like i was told i have an expensive hobby. no this chit isnt cheap but my parents dont for anything. I usually just list quads on here and when ppl send me the money, I dont send the quad. I usually get alot of money pretty quick doing this.

He is right, Pouring Concrete or doing any sorta Construction work pays off quick. That is how i bought my 400ex in the late summer of 03. I was finishing drywall!!!!
