I was suprised this summer when i was bumming around parts of Europe. I was in half a dozen countrys and quads are road legal in all of them. So why not the US? any thoughts?

Do you see many quads buzzing around the roads in Europe, or is it rare?

They are as common as motorcycles. I rented one in Belgium, but just couldnt get used to riding it around the city.

Over here they are registered as Farm vehicles or minicars so a helmet is not required when driven on public. I would wear a noggin' protector anyway :D

I believe there are a few states in which you CAN make them street-legal.
