Does anyone know about art?

I have this art, it was created out of plaster, it's actually pretty neat. I want to find out about it, like it's worth and such. Some people have said it worth a few grand or so, I got it for free:blah:


Any insight, where to look for information or anything?:confused:

who is it by? how old is it? look up on google local art/antique shows and bring it there and find a person and they'll let you know. you should see what people bring in, they think its worth $200 and it comes out to be $6000 because its like a 1983 ww1 artifact or something crazy like that. lol but you should go to a local antique shop or a show and see. depending on who it is by, it could be worth a couple grand. how did u get it for free?

I see a name of A Solovas on it, sculpture #854. I've tried doing research on it but haven't turned up anything.

My friend bought it from another friend about 10 years ago for a few hundred bucks. My friend had to move about three years ago and did't feel like taking this with, so he gave it to me. I'm very interested in this piece now.
