Just wondering if anyone is planning to go to dumont or glamis befor x-mass. I was hoping to get out befor the big newyears weekend. I'm over the big weekends, I want to shred some virgin dunes, not some tore up garbage.

I'm heading out to Glamis tomorrow, I'll probably be there until sunday afternoon, I want to finish breaking in my 450r. If all goes well I hope to have the hrc kit installed before the next trip.

I used to go on all of the big weekends when i was younger, and it was always packed. But now I am a little older and wiser and I try to avoid the major weekends too many people. Does it usually get crowded during December? except for New Years of course

ha ha - 350 roost i would try and break in your bike before going down to the dunes... i put a lot of time on mine before i put paddles on them. i try to stay out of real soft sand too like river bottoms when i am breaking them in too. i just try and stay on the harder packed stuff that doesnt grip up too much... the dunes are pretty much the worst place to break in a bike, cuz 1- paddles and sand both put a lot of strain on your motor and 2- at the dunes you have to keep it pinned a lot, especially going up or around bowls... youre supposed to vary your RPMs while breaking it in and not keep it at the same place for long...

250r4life, dude, trust me man I have broken in many motors in the dunes, infact thats the only place I have broken motors in, its the only place I ever ride. The key is 1) to have a little self control and 2) my god man, do you think I would hold a new motor wide open in a bowl, I don't think so! Do you think I am some sort of novice amateur, and even if I were, I can read the damn break-in instructions. I have broken in at least 5 top ends in the 3 R's that I have over the last 19 years, and they all lasted a long time.

I've got four hard seasons on my ct 350 and its just now getting a new top end, and guess what, IT WAS BROKEN IN AT GLAMIS!!

keep your misconceptions to your self and you might sound intelligent.
