looking to do some flat tracking in the spring, just need some ideas for low budget mods besides tires and a lowering kit. ive got ac propegs, hrc kit, uni filter any info would help

nerf bars and killswitch are required by most racing organizations as well.

chest protector, good helmet and boots are also good ideas.

Those are good ideas, I would also say look into a rev box. You could probably use the extra rpms at times, but you just wouldn't want to stay at redline. Also I would think a steering stabilizer would help, what little flat tracking I did was on a rough track and I wished I would have had one.

If you want a cheap axle to widen you might look into the tusk axles from rocky mountain, not to expensive and should hold up for flattrack or maybe just change the dish on the wheels to get a little wider(has it's downfalls, but is cheaper)

oh and gearing.

if you are running different tracks you will need an assortmant of sprockets front and rear, and a few chains to accomodate them.
