I just bought a 2001 Sierra 90 thats been sitting a while. I cleaned out the carb and it seems to idle good but when you give it gas it stumbles and will die if you don't pump it. Sometimes it will run good for just a little bit and then do this. Any suggestions would be great, my son wants to ride it really bad. Also what is the thing with a black and yellow wire coming from it that bolts onto the carb? Could this be bad?

The thing on the carb with the wires that you are reffering to is the electric choke. If it isn't opening up all the way or if it is going closed after the engine is warm it will make it run bad.Ours went bad on our Kasea and it ran terrible.I called Hetrick's and Rich said to disconnect it and it was fine after that.
