does anyone know about putting a banshee front shock in the place of a 250ex rear shock? will it fit? will there be any drilling involved or are there any other modifications needed to make it fit? thanks for your help.

I doubt it would work, and it wourl probably be the same if not worse.

I don't think that you would want to put a stock Banshee shock on the rear of your machine. The Banshee shock is weak and will probably not hold up. If it would fit, use one off a Warrior. They seem to be a lot stronger.

thanks. what would you think about putting an aftermarket front banshee shock on the back of the 250ex, that would probably turn out really nice if it fit, right?

works makes a dual rate rear shock just for the 250EX. They also make triple rate fronts. Check them out.

i know that, but i don't want to put $1000 of shocks on it when i am probably going to get rid of it in a year or two.

it's be pretty sweet. plus you'd get a more comfortable ride. not pushing my brand or anything. the works would really be the better shock, but not a whole lot of people like to sink that much money into a shock unless they absolutely need it.

I CAN GET A USED FRONT ABNSHEE SHOCK CHEAP, BUT WOULD HAVE TO SPEND OVER $500 ON AN AFTERMARKET BACK SHOCK FOR THE 250EX.

I have a banshee and I will admit that the front shocks suck.Trust me don't do it. But, a 300ex shock might fit.
