I see where the axle goes into, the differential or swingarm, i don't know what you call it, but it is between the rear brake and rear sproket, there is a screw that looks like a drain plug. Is there some oil you can put in that rearend. I think there is a noise coming from it. It is a 87 250x.

No, that bolt is to keep the housing from turning all the way around. No need to put oil in there. You must remove the bearings from the carrier and replace them and the seals.

I was looking on rocky mountain atv and i saw a lot of different bearings. Would it be the "rear axle bearing?" I looked at the rear brake and there is very little pad left. Could a noise be comin from there? I hear like a squeaky grinding noise.

I also recommend putting on a parking brake block off plate.

They can both make a noise like that. Does your axle have any play in it?

I took the bearings out of the carrier and one is very hard to turn so i'm going to get new bearings and seals. Thanks for the info.
