i found green in my carb???

well i was pulling apart the carb and rejetting and found the main jet adn fuel bowl area to have like a green slime/film on them. what could cause that?

Gummed up gas. Letting gas sit in there for a while will gum it up.

ya when i bought it the guy said it never got ridden, but it has gotten several hrs on it since then

Clean that crap out really good. Make sure you spray carb cleaner and compressed air through all of your jets including you main and pilot. If it gums bad enough the machine will not even start/run.

Old gas. Try adding STP fuel stabilizer and see what happens, but best thing to do is a thorough carb cleaning. The bike will run better and have better throttle response

its just old gas from the carb

clean it and u will be fine
