What can I do to my airbox to gain some horsepower? I have a K&N filter and a pipe on already but could someone help me on how to go about modifying my airbox.

You can drill some holes in your airbox, run an outwears without the airbox lid.

You can either remove the lid entirely, or drill a number of holes in it. Either way, rejetting is a must and the power gains will be impressive.

LMAO! Yeah that 250R has been around the block a few times. Next time I'll have to wrap it up with an Outerwears. Doctor says I may have to bore out my piston......:huh

I scored them at the local Dealer here. I think they were like $6.99 for six of them. You can get them online here.

Scroll down on this page and you will see them....

Yea, those are a lil over a dollar around here each!

just take the airbox lid off, its a lot easier, and then if you need it you don't have any wholes in the lid later on, you'll feel some nice power gains

heh depending on where you ride, its a cleaning daily, only thing about that is it should be cleaned daily anyways.

if you ride if a real dusty area it does need cleaned after every ride or before everyride, there are some days you can go w.o cleaning it but its all in where you ride and where you live.

an outerwears helps out with cleaning alot, one on the filter and one either jerry rigged to the lid or the airbox outerwear.

i saw a post one time where the kid modified his lid and it looked tight. cut the flat part and added an outerwear there with a little bit of sheet aluminum.

just my nonsense 2 cents.

I have the WB E-Series slip-on and the K&N already, so what jetting should I use for if I cut holes or if i take off the lid? Cause I am already gonna buy the K&N stage one jet kit, should that give me what I need for this set-up. Thanks

dude take it off and use panty hoes (cheaper then outer wears and does pretty much the same thing just over lap) thats what i am going to do

i just put a stage 2 jet kit in mine and a t-4 so i thought y not just take it off ya it might get a lil dirty but so u clean it how hard is that. 5 mins at max then u put it over a air vent in your house to dry and by morning its dry
