Suzuki 400 or polaris predator 500?

well a friend is looking for a new quad. he has narrowed it down to an 05 polaris predator 500 or a suzuki z400. i have heard bad things about the polaris, but here is what the dealers are offering...
--05 predator 500 (troy lee) with fox shocks, razer2 f/r, WB pipe, jet kit, f/r aftermarket bumpers(not sure the brand), braided brake lines, standard polaris 3yr warranty $6800 OTD

--05 Z400 with nerfs, f/r aftermarket bumpers, yosh pipe and jet kit, holeshots f/r, 5 year warranty with 2 year maintenance included(oil changes, plugs, etc) $6850OTD

hes TORN over this, so offer up your opinions please

The Z400 is the way to go. Longer warranty. Better Quad. The Polaris Blows. If he doesnt get the Suzuki he needs shot.

whats he planning on doing with the quad? tail riding,racing, or both? but if i would choose i would say the 400

yeah it depends on what hes riding

I would say z400 it is a better all around quad than the Polaris

Go with the z400 it is a nice and reliable quad.

id say z400...but damn 6850 you could get one of the 450's for that if u look in the right place

ya it seems that way, but here in florida, or at leasdt here locally, none of the dealers will work with ya. the suzuki dealer was the only place that was willing to work the price. everyone else is ripping you with crazy fees and crap, and you can take it or leave it

both of those prices are too high. I paid 6800 for an 06 raptor 700 OTD.

definaly the Z400 i have riddin both kinda liked the z hated pred with a passion. the pred did have more power but wasjust really akward feeling to ride. the z sits a little high for my liking but still lots better than a pred. I would ask to test ride them if i was the one buying it.

if all else fails buy a honda better than both IMO

Well I gues I'll be the odball here, and say go with the predator. I have riden both the z-400, and predator, aside from the POS stock plastics on the predator, I think they are awsome quads.

oo ur in florida 2.. nvm then i know what ur sayin about prices, i know up in tenn at southern honda there is the 06 450r's for 5700.. not to bad if u can get up there cheap..... whereabouts in florida do u ride?

oo cool,, croom is 20 min from my house in masaryktown, i know it says i live in palm bch but im only here for college.. i ride up back home ever few weeks... we ride a few other places around but alot or gettin taken over or the cops are gettin on us heavy.. oh well

definitely should get a 450, if he gets a 400 in 6 months hes gonna be sad that he didnt get the 450. if a suzuki is gonna be 2 much for him have him get a honda 450 they're great qauds too look at the baja 1000 podium, top 3 were all honda's. you cant beat that type of reliability.

Warranties are BS..............and the extra goodies can be bolted on for less. I paid 5300 OTD for my wifes KFX 400 and its an 04..............and I bought an 04 Z400 for 5200 OTD.
