View Full Version : 400EX Clutch cover nuts
Any help would be appreciated, i just need the torque specifications for the clutch cover nuts on a 400ex my climer manual doesnt really tell you it says a 8mm bolt should be torqued to 22 NM wich seems alittle to much for that purpose. NM or Inch-Pounds would be great... thanks and ride on!
Are you talking about the right crank case cover which you remove to access the clutch? If so my 400ex service manual doesn't have a limit (which is strange) but just says to tighten them securely. My 300ex service manual lists the torque for the right crank case cover as 10 NM which I believe would be applicable to the 400ex as well. If this isn't the area you are looking for just let me know and I'll look up other specs.
yes i believe that should do it, ill certainly give it a try. It is very strange they dont list the torque spec. but what can ya do =) thanks alot bud, i think that will do it for now.

Not much, they will strip VERY easily.
