Dec 4th Atlantic Grand Prix race CANCELED due to SNOW and ICE!!

As of now the December 4th event out of NA Warhorse in Scranton PA is canceled due to SNOW and ICE on the course.

I was up there this past Sunday and even though it was in the low 50’s there was still snow and a lot of ice on the revised course.

Again my apologies for the cancellation, but we're doing it for rider safety.

on man that sux dale,
i was coming up this weekend to wrap up the 2 stroke a/b class.
is there any chance it will happen or is this for sure?????

I went up there this weekend to arrow the course and there was snow and ice everywhere.

Yes the snow will melt but the ice is still there.

The hill trails back in the woods section were just sheets of ICE and would have been impassable with huge bottlenecks.

The other problem is that it's hunting season (Guys with BIG guns you know and I don’t want to piss them off).

As is I wouldn’t be able to get back into the woods until Sunday morning. Which wouldn’t give me enough time to re-arrow the course.

Trust me, you can’t imagine how depressed I am over canceling this event and what it’s going to do with our creditability as a event promoter.

But in the end it will be better and safer for the racers, because the course wasn’t safe for a race.

Have you come up with a location for the next event In South Jersey yet? I have been trying to make one of these races but missed the first couple and had everything worked out to make this one.

We thought it was a done deal, but are now having problems getting one of the permits.

It's a New Jersey thing you know.

We're having a problem getting a state permit for that location, apperently everything was approved up until about a week ago when another state agency got envolved.

Got-to-love New Jersey!
