ok...i got a crap load of stuff done to my 400ex...i am currently running a stage 2 hot cam...i just found on their website today a stroker cam...and i am interested in running that because i want to gain some more topend...and my current cam is showing some wear... i've been looking at the specs of the cam..i don' t know if any of u guys know anything on the stroker cam..but if you do let me know if i cna run it or what it'll take to run it...thanks

stroker engines are known for creating impressive torque. they do not rev well. this so called stroker cam is probably more low end than anything. you really don't need to rev past what the stage threee is made for because the engine quits making power before that cam run out anyway. just my two cents.

stroker engines do create very impressive torque, however on the 400ex stroker kit they continue to pull all the way to the rev limiter. this cam may be designed to even out the torque curve throughout the powerband. my budy has a 460 stroker and it is one of the quickest reving 400's out there even with a +4 stroke and 13:1 comp.

i compared to the two specs..and the stroker has just a bit more of a lift...but the duration is longer...i called the guys at hotcams and they said they designed the cam for a 460 stroker engine...but he said he had couple of people purchase it for the 440s and the 450s kits...i would think u would lose some bottom end.
