I just got a recall letter in the mail from Honda. The problem seems to be with the reverse. The 4w can go into reverse while putin' along in first gear. Hope this helps!

You guys aren't gonna believe this, I just went out to load up my Prairie, Started it up, letting it warm up, and it started blowing white smoke and stalled. Tried to crank it again and it didn't want to crank. Finally got it running, stalled again. Looked on the shop floor and it was blowing oil out of the exhuast and dripping out on the floor. Now it sounds like my motor is seized up, it might just be that my battery is low from sitting out in the cold, but I don't understand why all the white smoke? It is an 05 and only has 500 and some miles on it, HELP!!!!! I wanna ride tomorrow!

I tried to pull it, It doesn't seem to want to turn over, but I might just be a wuss and not pulling hard enough.

What do you guys think is wrong with it?

charge the battery . while charging check air filter for oil. check oil level make sure its not overfull. start up let idle 1\2 choke for at least 1-2 minutes then turn choke off and rev up half way to full throttle if still smoking take out and run for 5 minutes or so it will quit. ive had six v-forces those kawi motors "v-twin" are naturally cold blooded and love to store oil in the heads.

Alright, I messed with it more(The Kaw that is), Like you said Kevin, it is blowing milky oil into the air box, then the oil is draining down into the first carb, possibly causing an almost hydro lock situation, that would explain why it feels like it is seizing up. Also would explain the amount of smoke that its blowing, burning up all that oil.

If the offer still stands I would like to bring it down your way tomorrow Kevin and let you have a look at it. I have spoken with Wildman and he agreed that I shouldn't make the 2 hour drive if my machine isn't gonna run, lol, (dang I know how those yamaha guys feel now.) Anyway thanks for all your concern guys, you almost made me feel like you guys actually gave a chit about me, lmao.

Huh, my earlier post didn't show up.

Durhamtown is a little South and East of Athens and is the place you've linked too.

The terrain is rather featureless but the trails are maintained and rotated often, and they just opened their fifth MX track. Plus, a number of their trails are nice and tight (thanks to years of XC riders like myself, egging on Mike)

It's a little pricey to ride, but you get an on site pro shop, concessions, restraunt, pressure washer, service, gas, etc. Whenever I play ride it's out there.

Also, they're running a local hare scramble series next year, starting in March. I'll hit as many of those as Mid East will allow.
