PA hunters

so how did all of the hunters here in pennsylvania do? We'll i got a 3 point that was broken off at the both sides so it would have been like an 8 point. But other than that we've seen doe's but none gave us a shot. I didnt get pics because we had to take it to the butcher fast since it was like 60 today:eek2:

so how did everyone else do?

6 point and 2 does , missed a 10 or a 12 point but going after him with dad tomrow and everyday this week

i saw a doe but it was 2 small

i didnt even get my gun off safe

didnt see shiet..... my dad and bro did but didnt get a shot off...is there anyone else in here who cant sit for too long and have to get up and walk.. lol i cant sit in 1 spot for 2 long not unless its a tree stand or stand

yea we sat all day from 6-4 so it was a little while lol. the only time we moved was when i had to go and gut my deer

my dad saw a small buck and when he took his gun off safe he had his finger on the trigger ready to shoot and it shot b4 he wanted it too...and i didnt see anything yesterday or today after sitting forever...i got up and walked around and didnt see anyhting then either...i might skip school and go out again tmr im not sure....i had a great spot picked out until i got my stand up on saturday and got up in it, looked to the right, and there was a hangon about 15 yards away so that ruined my day....around here (tower city/williamstown) not many people are shooting anything....i only heard maybe 15 shots all day on the first day

theres no deer left... i don't know of anyone that really got anything... a few lil does but thats it!!!


i didn't get to go out yet... but i'll be out saturday to take my gun for a walk... i won't shoot anything unless its a HUGE buck...

I got my about 8:45 the first day. Its an eight point.

I got 2 doe. And had bears all around me at one point it had one 20 yards in front of me and one 15 yards behind me and I was on the ground!! The one behind me seen me because I keep turning around to keep an eye on both of them so it went up to about 50 yards and laid down. Then the one if front of me found where I shot the first doe and sat and ate the gut pile off in the woods. The one behind me then came back down and stood on his hind legs to look down the hill I was sitting about 15 yards from it. Then he ran past me in to the woods. They really did not care I was there!!!! 150-180 pound range!
Seen about 30 doe, 25 turkey, 2 bear, 1 coyote, 15 squirrels, and 12 grouse 10 rabbits.
Its one of the best first day of rifle I have ever had and I did not even shoot a buck!!
On Sunday night we saw 15 buck and 3 doe while out spotting!

i saw not a single deer and my feelings on the deer population going way down is to save the doe

What part of Northwestern PA are you guys from? I use too have a hunting camp outside of Titusville. SP?

I got what I thought was a real nice doe.
Turned out to be a buck with no horns. (they were broken off).
If the antlers are less than 3" it counts as a doe.

Sat all day long in a tree and then finally at 4:30ish put him down.

Good weather to hunt, just needs to be a lot colder is all and it'll get em movin.

my teacher got a 120 pound doe. a ton of the kids at my school got some real nice bucks and doe down here in southwestern PA in greene county. i haven't gone hunting yet cause my dad has been working 6 days a week which stinks bad.

rember the jeff Foxworthy post about a month back people in PA use minutes not miles to tell how far some thing is!!!

and the one that in the same day you run the heater and A\C in the same day.......
I did that on monday while hunting!!!

I got a 4 point, and a button buck ( I thought it was a doe), both on the first day. Then I came home from school today and shot a small doe. Now that we got meat in the freezer, I got the rest of the season to shoot a big buck.
