i have a blown 250r motor for sale. while riding recently i heard a disapointing noise coming from my engine, so i immediately shut it down. i took the motor apart to find that the cylinder sleeve broke and fell into the crank, destroying the piston, and the crank. the crank may be reuseable, but for good insurance, i would put a new one in it. i went through the entire bottom end and everything is great(except for crank). the counterbalancer is perfect, all bearings are perfect as well. all gears are great, and it shifts smooth. gears 2 - 6 are baldwin. the clutch is a barnett HD clutch(thats wat i was told by previous owner... it def feels like it from having prior experience around barnett clutches) the motor has no cracks or leaks, etc. has a duncan red anodized quick change clutch cover. now for the top-end: pro design cool head w/ 21 and 19cc domes, c-leigh racing MX ported cylinder bored to accept a 69mm piston(doesn't matter b/c needs resleeve anyway), duncan 4.5mm spacer plate, duncan reeds, etc. i was told by the previous owner that the crank was a duncan 4mm stroker(could explain why i needed to up the spacer plate from a 2mm to a 4.5mm to get the compression down around 180-190PSI). the motor ran great while it was still running. in order to get it running again, it will need a new cylinder sleeve(LA sleeve is the best bet), piston kit(go with wiseco or pro-x), and crank(available from service honda for $250... the crank in it may still be fine, but i recomend having it rebuilt). stator and flywheel are included. motor will include Bills midrange pipe and silencer and Mikuni TMX 38mm slide carb if requested. make me an offer if interested.
