Curtis Sparks Exhaust X6

I have a Curtis Sparks X6 full exhaust and im completly satisfied with it but it could be a lil louder but anyway im seeing if anyone could show me stats about how much horsepower it puts out and how loud the deimals are? thx alot guy really apreachated

You say it could be a little louder, however R3CONCEPTS says its around 112, thats not even leagel, do you just race?

I can tell your young...Try this on for size...LOUD PIPES DO NOT ALWAYS MAKE THE BEST POWER... If you want loud get a TC shorty, its ear piercing loud.

How about the hp numbers on the sparks, i have been hearing more and more how people are starting to steer away from the sparks. i have a sparks and it is increadible IMO

Only some say its obnoxious how loud it is. I am by far the loudest in our riding group :(
I took all the rings & backplate off my the e-series on my 416, and still the x6 on my R is louder.

I really need to get some newer pic's of my 450r since I put the derisi's on.

Sparks is a great pipe. Some quads it's better on than others.

On the 300ex. You cant get a better pipe, IMHO.

On the 450R, the pipe is in the middle of the pack.

Huh? When we did some dyno work on 450s, the Sparks Big Core put out 2 more HP then the Rossier, the same "top contender" Rossier.

From all the Dyno's I've seen it has been about 1hp lower.

I'm a big sparks fan. But you're test is the first I've heard of where it came out on top for the 04-05 450r

Perhaps it wasnt the BC they tested. Or maybe its that the Sparks was more receptive to our motor using other Sparks components.

To each is own on the pipe deal, but you cant go wrong with:

DASA
Rossier
ESR
Sparks

And or next pipe will be a Gigot pipe, although you have to sell your soul to get one.

you said the sparks big core was 112 db, was that the loudest throughout the rpm range or was that at a given rpm you tested and if so, what rpm did you test.

also, do you have the idle db for that pipe?

i have the sparks pipe on my 06 (took off the hrc mod'd oem system) and it is so loud, i think i am going to sell it


also, have you seen any db ratings of the hrc mod'd oem system?

I dont remember exact RPM the db test was done, but I know for sure it was not idle..I think 112db is about as loud as the Sparks gets, but I could be wrong. The Sparks has a nice crisp sound on idle, but then when you get it up into the upper RPM range its loud, we defenetly know what you mean.

I LOVE my sparks pipe (300ex). Glad to hear the Big Core is right up there with Rossier on the 450r.

And yea it's LOUD at high RPM's even on my 330ex. It will put a Vance & Hines Harley to shame.. lol.

I beleive the BC X-6 on the 450r is 112dB at 3700 rpm or thereabouts. The test us normally done at 1/2 rpm range.
