im getting hotcams before the next time i ride my bike cuz i gotta take it to a shop and maybe get it rebuilded since i have metal flakes in my oil i think im gonna get a 416 kit i want JE piston cuz i've always heard good things about em and im gonna get 11:1 compression because i don't want to run above 89-93 octane gas cuz its pump... and i am djus wondering what hotcams to get in my denniskirk catalog it says stage two is idea for mx and desert racing and i think im gonna race mx next year till i trade it for a 06 450r when their cheaper so should i get stage 1 or stage 2 i don't have exhaust or ne thing jus bored .010 over (another story )

I really think you should spend the money on the exhaust first only because you won't feel the power of the new piston or cam until you uncork that stock exhaust. What does everyone else think?

i would go with a exshuast before the bore. then ull feel the power.also if ur going ten over it wont be a 416. also with a 416 can u put 93 and 11:1 piston

its already .010 over i said i might have to get it bored higher cuz of the metal flakes i am gonna get hmf slip-on soon and a fmf powerbomb header if those to will work but i jus want t o go ahead and get hotcams now while this guy is already in my engine so i wont have to take it back later and have two bills

cuz i wont have enough money to pay for a full system all at once and after i get a slip-on i have no idea where to find a matching header besides the fmf ones

.010 over is not much at all. a 406 is .040 over and a 416 is .080 over. either way, a bike with a cam and piston with a stock pipe will out run a bike with just a pipe. it doesn't matter if you have a slip on or a good full exhaust like the full hmf or the sparks. the bike with the cam and piston will be quicker, and much quieter too. i have tried this out and its pretty amazing. however, if you go and get a good full exhaust after the built motor, you will notice a large gain from the pipe itself.
