should my piped 300 be able to beat a 660 griz? I raced one this weekend and I lost by a bike and a half. I launched in 2nd and came up in the front end and had to let off a littlebit and after it came down I just couldn't catch back up. We only raced once but I think with a good launch I could beat him. And yes I can shift good. I didn't realize they were that fast for such a huge bike.

they should actually be pretty even...with the 300 maybe being a little slower...it has more than twice the ccs to amke up for having twice the weight

this grizzly will own a 300ex. Im impressed that you only lost by a bike length or 2

I have a 660 Grizzly. It's piped, jetted, and has a K/N air filter. It suprises me on how fast it is. You'd think something that big and heavy wouldn't be able to get out of it's own way. It's not a dragster by any means, but it moves out pretty good.

yeah it sure supprise me how fast it was.I still would have liked to have another go with him. We were doing some shale pit riding that day and they look so tippy and high. With some good tires thos things would rip through anything!

Grizzly's will top out at around 69mph so that will destroy you even worse in a longer race.

Got mine up to 73 MPH on flat ground. Of corse who knows if the factory speedo is accurate.

What would you say if you lost to this? I used to kill almost everything until I got the tires, now they catch up around 55-60 mph. The tires added at least 50 pbs of rolling weight, plus they are taller

That looks like a BRUTE is it? A friend of mine has one and man those things have some power and sound so different.
