I got a PWR double pass radiator from ESR for $350 bucks. It's on my 310R and really keeps the temps down.

I've recently been involved in a project at my work dealing with liquid cooling, and I've learned a thing or two.

Antifreeze is a real killer of heat transfer. Now, without it, water can freeze in your radiator and engine and cause cracking and damage. However, in the summer, or areas that do not experience freezing tempuratures, you can greatly increase your radiator efficiency by replacing antifreeze with water-wetter (or other additive).

You can't run water all alone. It will cause corrosion. In fact, half the purpose of antifreeze is corrosion-inhibitors. Water-wetter has all the same corrosion-inhibitors, but without the glycol. (glycol is the actual stuff that keeps it from freezing).

By replacing anti-freeze with water-wetter, you can reduce temps by 15 degrees.

It's important to note that water-wetter will not protect against freezing. Like I said, if your quad is exposed to freezing temps, then you NEED antifreeze. However, if you don't actually need anti-freezing protection, then you can dramatically lower your temps by replacing antifreeze with water-wetter.
