any idea on what i could to help it out a little bit to where it wont burn the plastic? lol i really hate to see that. another question why would honda put out such a atv that has such potential but so many minor problems from the factory. i mean this is the 3rd year of the 450r shouldnt the kinks be worked out by now? they still have the horrible sound and now im noticing the pipe looks like its rewelding itself underneath me and not to mention the spit and sputter from the factory when u punch on it.i dunno i still love it and not trying to diss honda in anyways but whats going through their heads?

these four wheelers from the factory are jetted a little lean,
thats why it glows, save up get the hrc kit, jet it right and be done with it

Yamaha's and suz/kaw/cat quads also do it so do the dirt bikes and most cars with a set of headers there is just allot of hot gasses going through that pipe really fast hot gasses + allot of friction from rubbing pipe = a red hot pipe it's normall don't worry about.
