i just wanted to say on my 300ex today, pretty odd ball probelm... i'm guessing it's been wearing down for a while, but my front sprocket and the shaft.... the splines are gone :( soooo i have to get a new shaft, sprocket, chain, rear sprocket and cairrier bearings.... anybody have any idea how much this thing's gonna cost? the shaft that is... i know how much everything else will cost... i'm bummin i know that much.... and how many tooth sprockets do i want if i want to go about 65-70... dont worry i've done enough engine work to handle the higher gearing

go online at service honda and look up the price of the output shaft on their microfiche.it may not be too bad price wise.try a 15t countershaft with maybe 36t on the rear.you still might not be good for 75mph though.:)

good luck hitting 70 though on a 300ex lol (not saying it cant be done so dont wine about it) but anywho they sell carriers off of ebay for like 150 or something close for a 300ex

i would put 15 36 gearing as Chicksdigme423 said

anything else get off of www.servicehonda.com or www.magicracing.com or www.rockymountainatv.com

i thought i was the only one lucky enough to have the splines break off the counter shaft. but im sure im still the only one to have it happen to two of them
