broken clutch disc?

if the very inside clutch disc was broken into 3 pieces but stayed in place what could this cause power or clutch wise and what could cause it to break?

I have had this happen on big bore 330 motor twice. I think its too much power. I have changed the clutch springs to a stiffer ones and it has been a month with no disc breaking.
