leaking carb

my 400ex leaks gas really bad outa my carb. i've taken my drain screw out and the o-ring looks fine but every time i put it in it still leaks? i dont no what to do, i cant ride because every time i do my carb floods the cyclder and makes it so it sounds like S**t. i was wondering how much a new carb would cost me? and would a 450R carb would work on my 400? your reaspones would be VERY helpfull. thank you

sounds like your needle/seat is either bad or there is some crud stopping it from closing all the way which in turn keeps letting fuel into the float bowl and out the over flows.take off the carb bottom and remove the pin that holds the floats and clean/inspect your needle and seat.looks like a small brass thingie with a rubber cone point.use some carb cleaner and air and blow out the orfice where this normally sits.a manual will be helpful:)
