Anybody out there ever put KFX shocks on a 400EX? What might the pros and cons be? (FRONTS)

I saw a DVX that a guy took his OLINS off of a 400EX.

Ask 300exrida. When he bought his 400ex it had stock kfx shocks up front.

Z/KFX/DVX shocks have larger top shock mounts than a 300/400ex. It is much easier to put ex shocks on the others. You have to mod the ex's to fit z shocks.

but who would want ex shocks on others? Mod the shock eyes and they should bolt up. Then send them off to GT thunder and have him totally redo em' for you. Great setup then.

Friend of mine has 400ex and found a deal on elka kfx shocks, and wanted to know if they would work. I have a kfx, so maybe I will just get them for mine.:D

they will work, unless you're one extremely good racer they'll be an extremely good and practical upgrade.
Don't you wish we could all be like Jeff and go spend two grand on shocks? To bad many of us don't have the money and are looking for ways to make a "budger racer"

If I had the choice between the stock 400ex shocks and the stock KFX shocks I would pick the Honda shocks with out question. Its not worth getting hurt over.

^^^exactly, this kid keep trying to rip into people about budget racing, blah, blah, blah but most of the things he wants to due are just not right, you would be safer and smarter buying Works shocks or saving up a little bit more and buying used elkas, axis, or PEPs

I agree 100% with Jeff, I have asked a million of the "Can I make it work" questions.....and everytime someone who knows what the heck they are talking about tells me not to do it....why? Safety!

Can you make a size 11 foot fit in a size 9 1/2, sure you can, is it comfortable, NO, but it WORKS.....!
