any pics of custom mounted ignition and lights

anyone have any pics of costom mounted ignition and netral and reverse lights on a 250ex, or anything because i wanna remove my little box and drill holes and put them about my head light

I did that to my friends 250ex for him. I think it looks good and I think he likes it. His na,me is like honda250 or something, maybe he'll see this post.

okay were did you put them at above the headlight or on the side obove the headlight

I put mine (on my ole 300ex) on the right fender (not the actual fender). Kinda up towards the front. It makes it look really nice and Not have all that plastic and junk by your bars.

could you tell me like what size hole to drill, and all that because if i mess up my dad won't let me try anything ever again, and he will probaly make me pay to fix it

drill one about 16 inches wide.... It'll work perfect.

hey kx i'm pretty sure the keyswitch is a 15/16 whole bit... if that aint it it's a 1"

No, mine just pops right in (seriously), It may come out a lil it you accidentalyhit it with you hand, but check it out and see, At least mine does.

Hey i put my nuetral and key on the right side,and my reverse light on the left so when i reached down to put it in reverse it would be easy to look at. I got renthal bars thats why did it. I will get pics later.

on my 300ex i took off my light and handlebar plastic so i drilled a hole in the side of the front fender, just infront of the gas tank, and i stuck my neutral and reverse lights between my bars and my front brake resevor, i'll try to find some pictures in a little bit

I did just like muff, except put the rev/neutral lights in the garbage. There useless.

hey stock tires did you hook the wires together after you pull the neutral/ rev. ones out, i hooked mine together and i accidently left the key on and white smoke started to come from somewhere in the front so i put the lights back on, or maybe i just hooked the wrong wires

i dont know about the 250 lights but on a 300 theres a bump on them halfway down, if you turn that so its underneight the handlebars its impossible for them to fall out

Here's a picture of my new Lazers. I put the ignition switch under the hood, below them. I zip tied it to some other wires. It works great, and is hidden from view, unless you really look for it.

i used a red marine light from a boat dashboard and a tractor trailer amber licencse plat light when i redid mine for my handle bars. here is a pic there is a chrome ring around bnoth not sure if you can see it

i finally got a picture of my ignition and my trailtechs, they are so bright, i finally got a working battery and i could see the lights hitting trees at 5 o'clock today

heres a pic of the trailtechs on, these are very bright, i'd recommend them to anyone, although they seem like they sit high and would probably get crushed in a rollover, you can buy replacement ones at rmatv

it didnt seem to hard what to do, the directions didnt help, but just make sure you connect them to the high beem wires

actually it came with the trailtech lights that i bought, you can get them from www.rockymountainatv.com i forgot how much they were thou

and yes this is old, but its not like it really matters, the info hasnt changed

How big of a hole did you have to drill to mount the key there?

hey here's where i mounted my headlight,
I rode over to a friends house one night and
it got dark and i didn't have a light so i thought i would ride
home on the road that way i would have guide, but next
thing I know I end up in some guys field. so here's where
I put it. Notice its right behind the bumper.

i think the hole for the 300ex key is one inch, then you need to cut a little slot in one side which will keep the key from twisting inside the hole

The key is a one inch hole. thats what i used for mine. and i had to use a dremel tool to cut the grooves on the side for the reverse and neutral lights to fit in properly. I also used the dremel to grind down the plastic around the key hole a little thinner so it would pop in. I put all three of them in fender right in front of the handle bars above the headlight.
