Axle Locknut

Ive been having a problem. I can't remember which way the lock nut will turn. Its fully pressed as far as it can go against the o-ring. There is the small piece about 1/4 wide.. which way does that turn looking at it ...Up or Down. Also which way does the bigger nut go looking at it ..Up or Down..That is from standing behind the grab bar. Thanks a lot

Its left hand thread so standing behind the bike you would turn it up and forward to tighten up the axle and down and back to loosen.

pretty sure you pull up on the locknut to tighten it.

up you are going to pull up to tighten it and pull down to loosen it. just did it about ten mintues ago
