400ex carb on 300ex

Im sure this question has come up before but i am wondering it a 400ex carb will fit on a 300ex and if it will how much more power would it have?

Correct me if i'm wrong. If you have your 300ex engine modded thats the only reason to use a 400ex carb or am i wrong.

A 400ex carb is overkill on a 300ex unless you have extensive mods done.

not necisarly, i've seen it done on one of my friends 300. its pirty damn sick, it ripped the teath off this rear sprocket when he ripped the clutch. its sick has hell. all the carb does is increase the air flow and the fuel flow.

the carb will only flow as much as the engine demands.the intake stroke will decide how much fuel/air mixture will be consumed or drawn in by the engine(volumetric efficiency).a stock 300ex does not require a bigger carb BUT they can be made to work,but at the expense of low end and throttle response.:)

Make sure you have internal motor mods before you get that carb or it will hurt you. If you get it bored than I say go for it. Im gettin one soon and I'll let you know how it helps.
