Can anyone explain to me why diesel is more $ than premium? I think its just a bunch of B.S. You dont need to refine diesel as much as unleaded, not to mention premium. I think diesel is just in demand right now so they can get more for it.
In my town diesel is about $2.90
premium $2.60
regular $2.50
unleaded $2.40
BTW I live in Bend Oregon, what are gas prices in your town?

around the same here in buffalo, ny with a plus or minus difference of about 5 cents at diff gas stations, this is all for unleaded. our diesel is right around the price of 93 here.

it is 9.56 but i think the badlands are 1 hour ahead of me which would make it 10.56 because i am in southern indiana where the central time zone is because the southern tip of indiana is cut off and included in central time zone and i am in that

Diesel is a biproduct of gasoline. It takes less refining than gas, and therefore less money to produce.

if its winter they put some stuff in it witch makes it cost more

some stuff? what kinda stuff? Like somebody said before, even though it costs more to refine they dont need to refine it as much. Whenever they see a chance to make some money rip people off, wow they do not hesitate!!

the reason is, diesel and home heating oil are very similar. the hurricanes that destroyed the largest producing oil rigs cut down the production. supply and demand, demand is the same, supply is down. oil needs to be brought from other places to the refineries instead of the oil being drilled close by, off shore. gasoline is refined much more than diesel, there needs to be much less impurities in gasoline to work in engines. what i dont get is natural gas went up right along with home heating oil. natural gas comes out of the ground and is piped. BUT propane is 60percent natural gas. they are just following suit with the oil companies just to get on the money making, gouging bandwagon. i dont know, thats just my take on things.

Remember like a month ago when regular was almost 4 dollars a gallon?? It has nothing to do with how it is made, they can charge that much and it will still be bought.
