there is a bolt on the bottom of your motor in the middle that is your engine oil, and on the right side case under the kickstarter is the tranny oil

I know on an 05 the oil filter is on the same side as the shifter in front of where it says honda. There are 2 8mm bolts you have to remove and be careful not to lose the spring in the inside behind the filter. I dont know if the 06 filter is in the same spot or not.

Yes if you put in a new filter, but remember to change oil in both sides of the motor.

if i pull the drain plug will it drain both sides? will a quart do good?

No, the bolt on the bottom of the motor only drains the shifter side. There is a bolt to the bottom left of the clutch cover that drains the kickstart side. I think the shifter side takes like .8 something quarts and the kicker side takes .5 something quarts

no prob. Also you have to take out the phillips screw in front of the clutch cover and fill that side with oil until oil drips out of that hole. Good Luck!

I am not going to explain in any more detail, the inaccurate information that was given to you.

The oils are seperate for a reason, and each side has a reccomended oil.

But if you dont even know which hole is what, and how much to put in, you shouldnt be working on your quad.
Or you are going to have a new quad that is worth about $1,000 in a few short weeks.

dont be such a dick, its a new quad to him, he said he doesnt have the manual, WTF IS HE SUPPOSED TO DO???? he has to learn doesnt he? i think this is a pretty good place to learn, so it makes sense to ask. if you dont ask, how are you supposed to learn? i bet there was once a pon a time when you didnt know how to change your oil also. whatd you do? just tinker around with it until you had it all figured out without even reading on it? I DOUBT IT. i know when i first got my quad i appreciated it when some1 qctually helped me. if you really think he shouldnt cnange the oil on his quad because he doesnt exactally know how, then you need to loosen up.

Not to sound rude, but judging by your questions you are inexperienced with quad maintenance. It would be beneficial to you to purchase a service manual that tells you everything in detail with pictures. It is the best way to learn things, the right way. Getting half the story over the internet is not a good way because it could be costly to you.
