which quad?

Ok guys, the time has come where my crappy quad has shaffted and now i need to buy a new one, i do alot of track racing, jumping, woops, etc. the usual thing, but also i like doing trial riding too.

can anybody suggest a quad that will suit all of the above,

How big are you? What is the quad you are coming off of? and How much do you want to spend?

ok im 5 foot 4, got basically a four stroke blaster (to make it easier for everybody) and it doesnt really matter how much the quad is

Well, you would probably get sick of a 300ex pretty fast. So I would say a 400ex or z400.

ok cheers man, do u know what the stock shocks are like on the ex, or would i have to change them to get them in good jumping order

The z offers more, ressie shocks, liquid cooled motor while the 400 doesnt have ressies and its air cooled

All depends what you like, you'll have to ride both and pick.

LOL :( im short i know, but.......now im more confused cos i dont know what quad to even start looking at, i think the honda sounds the best to me, and you can pick them up easier now so think im gonna start looking round for one, thanks for all your help guys!! :macho

the yfz is deffinetly the quad for you, since ur small u wont like the 450r or the z400 because they sit high, especially the z400. and the 400ex is so outdated its not even funny. if u had ur choice of the z400, and either of the 450s get the yfz 450.

make sure you sit on both the 450r and the yfz, you will understand what were talking about the yfz fitting you better.

go with a 450, pref. YFZ since your small and the YFZ is pretty small. Or go with a Z/KFX400. I wouldn't go with a 400ex since they are really outdated, a Kawasaki Mojave is more advanced than the 400ex. (Mojave = liquid cooled dohc. 400ex = air cooled sohc)

sohc has nothing to do with bing outdated, the trx and crf are sohc. do you even know what the advantages to dohc are???

the stockers on the 400 arent the greatest, they handle some ramps. but not too big

ok well i guess ill just have to go and try the quads out, i know of a quad dealer that handles in most quads, honda, yamaha, kawasaki, etc. so ill just go and check them out.

He said, its like a 4-stroke blaster. I think its some off brand, not very popular quad. Probably about the size of a blaster. Its a lot easier to say like a blaster, than to say what it is, and people trying to figure out what that is.
