jetting 05 400 ex for winter

what should i jet a 05 ex for winter i have a jet kit and wonder what to use for cold weather, i went down 2 sizes from stock now seems to be ok but is there more i can do .

Your not suposed to go down jet sizes in the winter, your suposed to go up. The colder it gets it will run a little lmore lean, so you need the bigger jet to give it more fuel. Also if you feel like taking the carb off, you can always replace your stock pilot jet with a #42 pilot jet so it starts easier.

i did that already i think, dont remember, was way rich from factory so went to a 146 i think,should i go back to stock size or more? gonna pull carb out anyway going riding sunday someplace in southern maine with 4 others.
