The Edelbrock carb is preset from the factory for running a pipe with airbox modifications so it should be somewhat close. The Edelbrock carb doesn't come with jets,it comes with 3 needles and you adjust the needle position up or down by turning a screw on top of the carb. The screw "clicks" by a quarter of a turn,4 clicks being 1 complete turn.If the screw has been turned all the way in or out and the carb still isn't right, then you will need to go up or down a needle size.Tricky at 1st,but once you get the hang of it,it isn't too bad at all.
As far as power gains out of quad with just a pipe and filter i don't really know.I ran the Edelbrock carb on a 330 Sparks motor and loved it.I was running a mikuni 32 mm flatside carb and the Edelbrock seemed to outperform it.
