decide what kind of motor, a crf or yzf? Then decide what frame, lsr? Walsh? then your arm/swinger walsh? leager? jb? gibson? make those decisions and go from there. A full walsh CRF is very nice quad from what ive heard, they are great! but if you build a hybrid from the ground up it might be pricey:eek2:

Yep it will fit in almost anything, but 250r or 400ex geo is the best because of all the parts you can buy. I advice you buy a frame meant for the motor from Walsh, Leager ect.. it will be much easyier that way

A crf 450 motor wont fit into a stock 250r frame I've been told. If you are going to do a hybrid I would sugest using a 400ex frame, or an aftermarket frame meant for that motor. Stock 250r frames are getting harder to find, expecialy ones in really good condition, you don't want to go hacking up a good R frame.

plus a stock 250r frame, even in good shape, wont hold up long at all with a four stroke in it.

best bet is to get an aftermarket frame ment for it and go from there, it will be much easier.

and deff go with 250r geometry:cool:

put a banshee engibe into a 250r or yfz frame... that would be the most insane race quad with a woods port for more torque

I wouldn't put a banshee engine in anything you have to buy two of everything if you are doing a 2-stroke I would do a ktm 300exc and put a big bore kit on it my dads 200exc dirtbike motor really screams if you are going to do a 4-stroke I would do a ktm 520 I think they also have electric start
