Brakes

the brakes on my 400EX are all messed up

im not sure what the problem is....my front brakes stick in one spot....they also dont spin very freely all the way around the rotor....im not sure if this is a rotor problem or a caliper problem....what should i do?

the front brakes are all stock

take front wheel off and spin hub. Then take off the caliper and check pads for a rock or piece of mud. If its clean your rotor needs replaced.

Also perform these checks:

1) hold a screw drive against two points of metal on the bike so it is steady. Place it very close to the rotor. Spin the rotor. If it hits your screwdriver in some spots and not others, then you know the rotor isn't perfectly straight.

2) You can do the same to tell if your rims are bent.
