i'm looking at new 2005 suzuki 50 and kawasaki 50. both priced within 80 bucks of each other (kaw 80 more).whitch one is the better quad and why.i've been told suzuki makes both engines.

They are one in the same.

FYI:
There are multiple 50cc machines out there. They are good machines.
The LT...errrr,,,,kfx50 is a great-dependable machine. I don't consider the suspension to work well (like most mini's), but these are best suited for yard/family riding.
IF racing could be in your future, you should consider other machines. ie: DRR/Eton/Kasea/etc.

mostly just looking to get my daughter into riding her own quad around the yard/property. also how do the kazumas compare other then being 1/3rd the cost ?

The biggest problem I see with the Kazuma is that it is only 24" wide which makes it easy to tip over. If you are considering safety I would consider the DRX which is 40" wide. They are also very depndable and can be upgraded/mod'd to go faster as your daughter gets bigger. Check out the DRX on the DRR website DRR/DRX (http://www.drrinc.com/)
