View Full Version : Finally finished 450r brakes front and rear

I finally did front and rear 450r brakes this thing has never felt so good under braking conditions . so goodbye to the plagued pads and small calipers. The rear now has the most usable range of brake no more on/off feeling. here are the pics.

looks good. i was thinking about doing this also. do they bolt right on? you are special brackets need to be custom made?

front has modified 250r adapters and stock calipers and pads.

rear is all stock parts.

can you please be alittle more descriptive. where did you get modified 250r adapters? also for the rear is is all stock 400ex mounting hardware and just a 450r caliper, or all 450r rear mounting parts and caliper.

do u have any more pics of your bike??? Looks very nice, post any if you have em. Was it difficult to do the brake swap?

I modified the adapters. its stock 400ex axle,carrier,sprocket and nut. the rest is 450r caliper,caliper stay,pads,rotor,hub. all i had to do was put 2 washers between the caliper and stay and it fit perfect.



Looks good! what type of rear skid plate is that?[/B]

UM racing 3rd one i had its so far the one holding up the best.

Sorry to dig up an old thread but this is a mod I'm considering. benbuilt4u would you suggest it as an upgrade worth the time and money? I hate my brakes right now and would love to upgrade! Could you also give me a desription on the parts needed to do this mod?
