call me an idiot But i took my stock clutch out the other day and put in a tusk clutch with new springs and such.. and ever scince i'd put it in first gear with the clutch in it grabbs and almost stalls, i dont know why.. it might be because i tightened the spring bolts too tight? i didnt know how tight to put em on, i head it was 6"lbs but i dont think thats not tight enough,...help?....

Tighten them, alternating like with lug nuts, just till they bottom out. Did you put the last fiber in off set from the others?

Also, the clutch cable probably needs to adjusted, lubed or replaced.

yea i soaked them before, but i guestimated the tightness of the bolts to about 15'lbs i dont want to break anything by having them too tight and what do you mean putting the last fiber plate in offset from the rest??? cause i dont konw if i did or not.....:ermm:

With the stock basket all the fibers and plates are stacked in the same slot except for the last fiber. It goes in a different slot.

Sounds like it just needs adjusting

I ran mine like that for about ten hours or so, it was slipping under hard acceleration. I'm hoping just a little wear on the fibers:ermm:
