How has that jump been holding up...Looks like a death trap, personally I'm against wood ramps, I just don't trust them.

The jump is holding up not too bad but flat landing hurts the feet so I don't hit it that much. I don't like wooden ramps much either but this one was thromn together in a hour. It's likely not the safest thing though!

be careful going to big repeatadly on a 300EX with stock front shocks mine broke the bottom mount off of the right front shock. Luckily it finished itself in a corner on mine or I would have been one hurtin boy that day.

Heres a pic of me about to case a 50 foot double on my stock 300ex with a pipe. I cleared it 3 times and then on the last lap I went a little too slow. Quad held up fine but when I landed the shocks pogod and flipped me over the bars. Thats a 450r im passing. Beat him the first moto cause he wouldnt hit the double and I would.

Hey Quad Racer12, that Elka suspension probably helps when jumping the 300ex!:D

thats still awsome! everyone always disses the smaller quads, but they still have alot to offer! heres a shot of my old 350 raptor before i sold it:

yeah I got a couple more pics. its a little rougher jumping a 300 with stock tires, arms and shocks than someone whos got elkas.

tell me about it! this shot was before i got my aftermarket shocks! i ended up selling my 350 a while ago and got a sweet deal on a Predator. i couldn't be happier! i see you are looking to buy an 06 450r, those things are supposed to be rocketships! slap some aftermarket a arms on em and they are supposedly better than a YFZ (according to Dirt Wheels shoot out)

I race a 300ex at natioanls, I have long travel works but, with stock shocks. My friend was doing a 60 foot double at atco mx no problem with stock shocks and a-arms, and it depends on what kind of jump it is, if it has a step landing or nicely sloped landing then it will be a lot easyer compared to flat landing on a table top or something. If your going to try a big jump with stock shocks, just deffaintly hold on and gas it on the landing, it takes away a lot of the impact your going to feel. oh and the guy jumping the truck is sick.

8my_Cash, jumping that truck was sick! how long have you been riding?? very nice though dude! i am working on a course in my backyard. what you think would be a good "gap" for a double that would be used to do medium sized trick such as a no footed can, nac nac, or nothing? the distance isnt a huge priority for fast jumps i just want to be able to pull these tricks, but have a comfortable landing! thanks man!

8my_Cash
01-30-2006, 09:58 PM
well i would try 30-40 ft thats what i use to do them and i can pull them off smaller stuff. just try learning can cans the practice taking the one foot offf while can can then you should be able to pull it off small ramps.... make sure the ramp is smooth and about 6 ft tall with a nice transitions....sure putting a massive lip will get you the air but it will launch you in a very unconfortable way and you will worry about evening out in the air and it makes it really hard to do simple things

just remember try 30feet with a 6 foot tall ramp and a nice 8- 10 foot tall lander with a nice slope and you will be doing tricks in no time...hopefully i can get some new pics to show everyone

oh when i jumped the truck i was only riding for about a 1 year but i have been riding for almost 3

you can jump as far as you want but it is how high you are jumpen and is it flat landen or smooth

15 ft high flat

double wise or up hill is all on how much balls and how little the brain.

off of a 3ft high kicker home made wood ramp 10 ft high 35ft long up hill with stock shocks but not for long
