I'm sitting here playing Call of Duty 2 on my X360 on my 55" HDTV and home theater system and this machine is awesome!

I thought the graphics were pretty damn sweet as it was, then I played a demo of cod2 at Future shop on an HDTV :eek2:

Guess I'm gonna have to buy an HDTV now......oh well.

What games did you get with it?

I've been saying this for awhilw now. 360 will be ok on a regular TV, but on a HDTV it will shine. My brother just got his... he's playing it on his HDTV right now.... hopefully he'll be bringing it over and I can check it out on my DLP. :D

Ps3 will be awsome, by the looks of things. Xbox was alright, i didnt think it was as good as i thought it would be, but it looks alright.

But ps3 will be pricey, and will have some amazing gfx :D

I go exercise 3 times a week, I go to one of our properties and cut wood, etc. Except for exercising I slow down in the winter here in Ohio because of the weather. I pre-ordered my Xbox on May 14 so mine was waiting for me.

Here are my impressions after playing for about 6 hours only on COD2. The graphics are far and away better than the original Xbox and gameplay is way smoother. The new controllers are much better and wireless is the deal. They've ditched the old black and white buttons and replaced them with two additional buttons above the triggers. Loading is almost non-existant. When you first power the machine up and the game starts there's about 7 seconds of loading the game and then no more loading except for between levels. That load time is about 2 seconds. Sound is excellent on Dolby 5.1 (even though I've got a 6.1). A big thumbs down for me is no HDMI connection, just component video.

Now, from the graphics I've witnessed on COD2 they are not as good as the above screenshot of Metal Gear for PS3 but I don't know if that was an actual gameplay shot or a cinema screen between levels. But, I can tell you that PGR3 graphics are much better than COD2. Like any other system it'll take a little while for the games to come up to the system.

I'll most likely buy the PS3 as well because I've got no loyalty to either system. Something disappointing I read yesterday on Yahoo News about the PS3 was prices are rumored to be over $500, games will be more expensive and the president of Sony stated although the system will be released in spring of 2006 that games that take advantage of the PS3's capabilities won't be available until late 2006 or early 2007:(:mad:

from what i hear you will still be able to play ps2 games on the ps3. also as time goes on the games will get much better for the xbox 360. all first games for a console when they come out are underpowered, cause they have yet to use the console's full potential. though the ps3 will be better, the xbox 360 is still going to be competition. just look how it is right now, the xbox (original) has better graphics than the ps2, but the ps2 still outsold the xbox by a large margin. i think at one time the ps2 had over 50% of the sales, and xbox andgamecube made up the rest. to some people loyalty is more important than graphics. now that this is microsofts second system, i guarantee that this xbox will have better sales than the last.

My brother just bought me Project Gotham Racing 3 and it's killer! Graphics are better than COD2 even!!! I had the option of putting money down on Halo 3 already but I figured my wife had enough of me spending money on one day. Between this system, games, controllers, chargers, etc. I dropped $570:eek:

i had to buy 2 of them. one for me and one for my brother :cool: madden is garbage and need for speed is pretty good

the only reason i dont like halo 2 as much is because its futuristic and ****.. aliens etc. the MGS series are just badass... so is socom.. Sony has way more popular games. i think

I'll just buy 360 after christmas when its cheaper then get ps3 when it comes out.

I played halo 1 right to the end in campaign mode and yes, it sucked.

The physics of the game and the graphics were both pretty good, but, the whole game is shooting the same few aliens with the same few guns over and over again. No imagination what so ever.

When Halo 2 came out it was supposed to be the greatest thing going because of "dual weilding". Whoopeeee! I was "dual weilding" in Goldeneye for N64 (which was a far better game IMO).

I also played 1/2 the campaign on Halo 2 until I realized it was exactly like the first Halo and lost interest.

Keep in mind my opinions are only of the campaign modes in both game as I've only played Halo online once. It was halo 2 and I died about as many times as there were seconds in the match.

I got one and it is bad. I hooked it to my computer monitor so it will be a lot clearer. I like everything about it but call of duty has BADD lag on live. Its ok most of the time though. I got amped3 and N4SMW too.

i dont understand how you people can pay for quads and video games. Im 15 and I have been riding/racing for 1 year. Before I started I used to always blow my money on games. The last game that I bought was Madden 05. Now, trying to keep a 300ex able to race, week after week leaves no money for video games,, let alone being able to go hang out with friends. (thats why i mooch. lol) My PS2 is good enough for me.

I think you may be stereotyping a little bit.

Tons of people play video games and lots of them have loving wives or girlfriends that understand the need to J@ck off to xbox360. Myself included.

GUY,HDMI is no better then component. in fact HDMI is having problems with certain satellite boxes and dvd players, they are causing lockups on dvd's and sat boxes. HDMI was a rushed technology and is going to be changed for multiple reasons. the connector may be changed making old HDMI connections obsolete and a newer firmware version.

I have tested HDMI back to back with component on 3 different hdtv's with the same HD source. the COMP had blacker blacks and Whiter whites. I even switched from a hd cable box with hdmi out and component out to a dvd with hdmi out and comp out, as well as a hd sat box, all the same outcome.

hey, i have a ps2 and a philips home theater system and i cant figure out how to hook it up so that my ps2 will work on the surround sound. How did u do it? My ps2 sound comes straight from the tv, but i can watch movies or tv on surround sound. But not ps2.

i got call of duty this afternoon and my local game store also had a hard drive in stock. these things are going for $250 on ebay when they retail for $99 at stores. I now have Call of Duty 2, need for speed most wanted, and madden 06' for the 360.
