Any differences between a baldwin and a stock crf carb. I am going to get my bike built by baldwin but i dont want to pay $850 for the baldwin carb and just get a crf carb with adapter. Thanks

i'm not for sure but i would bet it is a modified taper bore carb like i got. The carb starts out as a 39mm then it is tapered bored to 43mm. some ppl straight bore, but i prefer taper to increase the velocity of the incoming charge. center arch ring should also be replaced.

not sure what balwin carb kit is, but i payed $600 through cernics and got it re-wired for tps, crf perch and adapter; then, had to have my machinist taper bore for $50 and DASA sell me center archh for $50. All said and done $700 for me- ouch!

but worth every cent to me. :D

Baldwin jets them, puts on the tps, adapter, works connection clutch lever w/hotstart. I'm not sure if he does any other work to them. If he's doing you work just ask him.

We also sell a kit from work where Chad502 bought his from.
E-mail Kyle@Cernics.com for info.

Kyle at Cernics really hooked me up with the fcr kit, and did a great job with the whole business transaction.
