We are planning on going to Col on Friday July 6th. We went last year to the area north of Divide and also to Taylor Lake to ride. Is there some other place else that is close to them that would be good riding. Someone said that there was a good woods area southeast of Taylor, I think. We want to ride in the woods and trails, no sand dunes. Also, what about the fires are they near these places?

We are going to Colorado next week also. We are leaving July 3, that night when I get home from work. We are going to Glenwood Springs for a few days and then we are going to Moab Utah.
I was wonding about the fires also. I can't find a good map that shows where the fires are at. I sure hope that we have a place to ride.

Well guys I hate to tell you but I am to the the understanding that alot of my favorite areas to ride have burnt or will be closed down to riding for a while. I ride alot of the areas to the northwest of Colorado Springs including Divide and surounding areas and they a closed to traffic and there is no camping in alot of state parks. That damn Hayman fire really messed up my summer.:( There may be some riding around Divide! Not sure

Check that one out for the Hayman fire.

As far as Glenwood Springs I'm not sure where your riding is but I will post this map maybe it will help!
