Yes, it works great! I've done this mod on my bike. It requires that you make an extension for the intake boot (between the carb and the air cleaner) and I recommend putting an accelerator pump on it, but other than that, it will work just fine.

I had to jet mine down from a 158 on the stock carb to a 142 (yes.. 142, you read it right) on the FCR carb... and that was done on a dyno. It's still running a little rich, but thats the way I chose to run it because of my nitrous setup.

You will also need the YFZ throttle cable.

do you have any pics or info on your adapter. I am doing the same mod you did with the yfz 450 fcr 39. However this site is loaded with 450r carb info but not so much on the yfz carb.
