I think I'm gonna have to give up my car :(

Anyway it was for sale on here so disreguard that post I'm having trouble with it now. So here goes. The wiring under the hood was done by a professional jackleg and is jumbled. My oil pressure has been fine constantly and I start to hear a knock. Well, wouldnt you know it gets super loud. I checked my oil and there wasnt a drop in it.

So I'm tired of it anyway and was wanting something else that wasnt such a hog and I think I'm gonna just try and sell it as is. Other than the motor it's in real good shape to be a 87. It still has all the radio, AC, good interior, brand new white paint, brand new tires, eibach brop springs and all the front end has been rebuilt. It is still going but I dont know how long it will for. What do you think I can get out of it? I know its super hard to find one of these that isnt hacked to hell... I looked forever to find one this nice. Anyway, I was thinking around $3000 to put it in the local paper. Tell me what you guys think about this.

With a knock you will be lucky to get $1000-1500

you really think so? I bought it wrecked with alot of frame and body damage for $1500 and have put a ton of money into it since. I know these cars are pretty rare especially in good shape. They usually go for about 5-7k in this condition running well with the original motor. Im not saying your wrong, but I really hope you are :( Im really taking it up the arse on this one and this couldnt have come at a more crippling time.

go to www.kbb.com to check and see what it is worth. i entered 50,000 with t-tops as a guideline and entered that it had major body & frame repair and that it needs a motor replacement. i also entered that the current paint, tires, suspension, interior, etc. are all flawless. it told me that the private party value is worth $1,380. even if it was never wrecked it would only be worth $1,750. it may have some options that i did not enter that might bring the value up slightly but i don't think they will help bring the value up to the amount you are hoping to get.

I'd say he's right. $1,500- maybe $1,800. Depending on condition, mileage, and how bad the knock is.

yup... in other words your saying you bought it totalled and rebuilt it salvage... that means technically u need a salvage title... that will drop the value of the car alot...

yeah it doesn't look to promising to get very much out of the car. just try to get full coverage and hope somebody runs into you.
