hey I'm thinking of using a high comp piston stock bore to try and gain some power here without boring the cylinder how high can I go ? I was thinking just 11-1 with a thinner gasket? sound ok also maybe a hot cam stage 1?

I have the 11:1 with a stock bore and hotcams stage 1 and it is a nice increase. You will have to do some playing with your jetting, but it is a nice power increase.

I agree, nice little increase with stock bore piston.

But...while you are going through the trouble, you might as well bore it out, only going to cost you a little more for the bore.:D

I wouldn't waste my time with 406, I am going 416, then 426, then 440 stroked. thats just my opinion though.
