Good bare 300ex/250x head

I need a 300 head in good shape, I dont need valves or valve springs just the head alone. If i could find one that was ported and polished it would be even better.

I have a motor with a new head. The case is cracked would you be intersted in the whole motor or just the head

I have no idea, the best deal ive found it a head with all the valvetrain(valves, springs, retainers, &shims) for 200 shipped. But I have no use for all that. I need just a head.

I have no idea what year the head is, they are all the same though from 87 250x- whatever year they quit making the 300ex.
Its in good shape, no valves or springs.Needs to be cleaned up, but wasnt blown up or valves broken. I also have a brand new set of valve guides I'll throw in if you buy it.I no longer need any 300 ex or 250x stuff.

I didn't get the one I have off yet will get it off this morning, a 250x and a 300ex are not the same! you can't kick start a 250x with a 300ex head on it because you have no decompression.

The difference is the valve cover , not the head!The heads are the same!You need the valve cover too?
As far as starting with no decompression, with a race cam you have to take it off anyway.I always plugged the hole in the cam cover to do away with em on a 250x.

my bad you guys are right it is in the valve cover. but I just got the head off the 250x motor and it is in perfect shape nothing stripped all gasket surfaces good valve guide snd seats good. sending pics in a few minutes.

the 250x head & 300 head are different. they will bolt on & work but the combustion chambers are different
